Bob Makransky: Death is Watching Our root self-consciousness, the sense that we feel within ourselves that something is watching us, is our death). Saturday, April 14: Ron Dinehart: Finding My Passion Back in college, I remember reading "Death of a Salesman" (by Arthur Miller) and the professor saying, "There is nothing more tragic in life than doing something for a living that you did not like." I smirked and said to myself, "that would never happen to me. How could somebody do something they couldn't stand doing? That's just crazy and cowardly..." Marion Bond West: An Open Gate When my husband died of a brain tumor, I became very angry. Life was not fair. I hated being alone. After three years as a widow, I walked around with a face like a stiff mask... Lesley Vejar: Humanity Is In School Humanity is in school. Some students may question the lesson plan, others may be obedient. The beauty of this school is that you have the free will to decide how you will accept your lessons and how you will respond or react to those lessons... Friday, April 13: John Armitage: The Yoga of Laughter When you can laugh at yourself, remember that you are also being compassionate towards yourself. Many ones would say, "I am a compassionate being. I am compassionate to all." And then would add as an afterhought, "But how can I be compassionate to myself?" Sayahda: Recognizing Another’s Light Planet Earth and her inhabitants are being faced with many challenges. Each challenge holds an opportunity. It is important to find the opportunity that is being offered to mankind even though war may be on the horizon. Battles going on within self express themselves outwardly and affect all life. If humanity chooses to honor their personal demons they feed fear. Fear is the biggest terrorist of all... Thursday, April 12: Judith Pennington: The Radiant Stillness in Your Heart It was a few thousand years ago that the prophet Elijah heard "the still, small voice" which comforts and guides us today. Chased by Jezebel's armies, Elijah took refuge in a cave and prayed for an end to his life, as he felt that he had failed God. First the wind rent the mountains, then an earthquake and fire, but for the first time in Hebrew history, the voice of God was found not in these forces of nature but came afterward in a "voice of gentle stillness" heard from within, in the silence of loving contemplation... Anthony de Mello, SJ: On Waking Up Spirituality means waking up. Most people, even though they don't know it, are asleep. They're born asleep, they live asleep, they marry in their sleep, they breed children in their sleep, they die in their sleep without ever waking up. They never understand the loveliness and the beauty of this thing that we call human existence... Tuesday, April 10: Zensunni: Beyond Indigo (2 comments) This takes us past current limitations of spiritual growth to a place of new reality's. ZaKaiRan: What is Ascension? For most people Ascension means that they are going to leave this material plane and finally get to be out of hell and be in Heaven, or the 5th Dimension. That instead of leaving this plane in the traditional way of dying, this time they will be leaving by increasing their vibratory rate to a point where they can "go" to the 5th dimension... Charlotte Edwards: Why Not For Man? This is a true story. It happened. I do not try to interpret it. I just think of it in the bad moments, and from it comes only one hopeful question: "If so for birds, why not for man?" author unknown: An Eight-Cow Wife My trip to the Kiniwata Island in the Pacific was a memorable one. Although the island was beautiful and I had an enjoyable time, the thing I remember most about my trip was the fact "Johnny Lingo gave eight cows for his wife." I'm reminded of it every time I see a woman belittle her husband or a wife wither under her husband's scorn. I want to say to them, "You should know why Johnny Lingo gave eight cows for his wife..." Monday, April 9: Dr. Jean Houston: The Way of the Journey There are an enormous number of catalogs, an enormous range of choices of different seminars and workshops and teachers. How does a person figure out what is likely to work for them from this vast set of choices, and when they do figure out what works for them, how do they really get themselves to practice it consistently? Sunday, April 8: Robert Rabbin: How Shall We Live? We are each expressions of a fundamental reality, an essence that some call God, some spirit, some consciousness, some love. It doesn't matter what you call it. It doesn't care. It is beyond names. But it is real, and thus we all belong to the same family. My blood is the same as yours, my heart is the same as yours, my body is the same as yours. We seem to stand apart from each other, but our essence is one. We only seem to be different, but we are all parts of a whole. Naturally, whatever any one part does touches and affects the whole. Author Unknown: The Most Beautiful Heart One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart. Joe Vitale: What Are You Dismissing? When we dismiss people and ideas because the entire world doesn't agree with them, we get to be right. But we also get to stay empty inside. By dismissing what could work, we dismiss our own growth. We dismiss what's possible. It doesn't matter if the book you read and love is loved by anyone else. It doesn't matter if the teacher you admire is admired by anyone else. It doesn't matter if the healing method that worked for you doesn't work for everyone else. What matters is you. Your happiness. Your health. Your healing. Your well-being... Saturday, April 7: Dan Joseph: The World Needs To Be Flooded In Divine Love This morning, I was sitting in a coffee shop, trying to do some reading. Three women were sitting at a table next to me. The women were talking about various men in their lives, and occasionally threw in a comment about how men are controlling, how men are not very psychologically aware, how men try to replicate their relationships with their mothers, and so on... by Nisandeh Neta: What Dreams May Come Most people, at some point in their lives, question whether they are on the right path. Often, sadly, it isn't until they are faced with trauma or death that they stop to ask the important questions... Friday, April 6: by Rajat Kumar Samal: The Present of Spirituality Do you know why people get into adventurous sports for fun? It allows them to get into the PRESENT. One wrong move or a slight distraction can take their lives away from them. So a fully focused mind is required to deal with that situation. People risk their lives to be in the complete happiness that is to be in the PRESENT. We don't have to risk our lives. We can attain such a state by being focused and forgetting the past and future.... Takara: Greeting Each Day In A Natural Way The typical North American morning: A very obnoxious sound jolts you out of your dream state. Depending on how deep in dreaming you were, it feels like you've been slammed back into your body. You head for the kitchen to start the coffe and turn on the news along your way. Soon its a hustle and bustle getting ready for work - whether its just you or an entire house full.... Thursday, April 5: Barbara Biziou: Find Peace And Comfort In The Age Of Anxiety How can we find positive, sustainable comfort in this age of anxiety? A comfort that connects us to ourselves, and the Divine, regardless of our religion or spiritual tradition? In my life, meditation is a key that turns the lock and opens the mind and heart, as it shifts us from unconsciousness back into consciousness. Robert Rabbin: Telling The Truth If we want to transform ourselves, to free ourselves from falsehood, to liberate ourselves from anxiety and fear and conditioning, to experience truth, then we will have to tell the truth. We will have to put our actual lives on the line. All transformation begins from where we are, by admitting what is true. This might be painful at first, but telling the truth will ultimately bring exquisite health, joy, and radiance to our lives. The truth will set us free... Peter and Esther Fisher: We are Creators and The Law of Creation The greatest secret in the world is that you and I are incredibly powerful and aware creators. We are immersed in and responsible for the creative process, which dictates the outcome of our individual and collective lives in every moment. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our world is exactly what we collectively design it to be -- all of the time and that our universe operates as if we knew that we were powerful creators... Wednesday, April 4: MSI Ishaya: Perfection Patiently Awaits Your Simple Choice The secret to success in any area of human concern is really no secret at all. It is so obvious: whenever you whole-heartedly focus your attention, you will progress. The master key in that sentence is "whole-heartedly..." Tuesday, April 3: Robert Rabbin: Meditation On Peace Today, there is perhaps no more urgent question than this: How can I make peace real? How are we to meet violence with nonviolence, to meet war with peace, to meet fear with love, to meet hatred with compassion? In this moment in which the world is trembling and reeling with angry passions and violent convictions, we must call for peace, stand for peace, and act for peace. We must accept only peace. But first... Mary Arsenault: An Interview with Andrew Cohen MA: If our true nature, our very deepest, highest self, is already enlightened, why would this enlightened self ever choose to view life through the experiences of the historical self or the unenlightened separate ego? AC: The ego can be very strong because it is the deeper self-sense that actually energizes the ego in the first place... Mark McCloskey: Pure Silence A gentle, loving, inner peace and silence is here and now in this moment. It has always been this way. It is always here. It is right here within you and all around you, a stillness, an apparent void, a seeming nothingness out of which everything arises, exists, and eventually returns.... Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway: When Someone You Love Pushes Your Buttons … Nothing is more aggravating in relationships than having your buttons pushed by the one you love. It seems ironic that the one you love could make you so insane. But once the honeymoon period cools and real life sets in, we all take our partners off the pedestal and begin to notice their less than finer points... Monday, April 2: Averi Torres: Transmute Fear into Light Fear has become such a common part of all of our lives that we have adapted to it. Most of the time we don't even realize that we have allowed it to dictate our actions. We do things and believe in ways that harm us with their negative results. We treat others badly because we distrust them. We isolate ourselves more and more so as not to be hurt. We won't go places or do things because we're full of so many undefined fears that we've become immobilized... Sunday, April 1: Shirley Knapp: Re-Awaken Your Being When we tune into a pure frequency of light and love there is nothing that can transform as quickly as thought. The human body is indeed very important to work on as we harbor the thought patterns that limit us through fear. When we eliminate these thoughts, we can and do create miracles! We are living in a time when this is vitally important as we are creating miracles not only in our daily lives but also on a global level... Suzanne E. Harrill: A New Paradigm for Marriage It is never too late to learn how to create an enlightened relationship. Even if you began a traditional relationship filling in each other's missing pieces, you can learn to do it differently, as you each heal and learn how to actualize your life from a greater perspective. You can move on to something better.... Saturday, March 31: Thomas Eldridge: On Being Stuck: Coping for Sensitive People If we desire true self-actualization, eventually we must come to face the realization that what is at stake -- our hopes, our dreams, and our goals, is more important than our need for safety. Cindy Griffith: The Butterfly Transformation: A Perfect Role Model Once we have emerged into the outer world, we find our new found strength and beauty that we had hidden away also emerged. We are now ready to take the next step and put what we have learned into action. We take that Leap of Faith, and begin to fly the highs and the lows of the next stage in our soul's evolution. Friday, March 30: Connie Barrett: Judgment Day When I first became committed to spiritual growth, I knew that judgment had to go, but my realization that judgment was wrong only served to make me feel guilty whenever I noticed the automatic program start to play. That I noticed was an improvement; that I was now consciously devoting more energy to judging myself -- was not. So I decided to take a closer look at judgment. Thomas Eldridge: The Spiritual Unfolding Process Spiritual unfolding is a process of discovering who we are at our very core -- our essence. It is a process of learning what it is that our soul resonates with. When we honor the sacredness of ourselves, we may genuinely allow ourselves to freely be who we are. We cannot bear the insecurity any longer of living with a false persona. Richard Lang: The Land of Everlasting Clearness Whatever is happening, the pristine clearness of home remains ever present -- always unaffected, always accessible. To stay awake to this clarity - to keep shining the light onto the place where you are -- this is pure freedom, pure peace and joy. You have sailed back safely into your home port. So long as you stay there, not even the worst storms can touch you. Your nothingness is your protection. Thursday, March 29: Dan Joseph: The Costume Ball Imagine that you are invited to a masquerade ball. You spend weeks choosing a costume for the event. Should you dress up as royalty? As a villain? As someone famous? As an angel? You eventually settle on a costume, and go to the ball. There you find hundreds of other people, dressed in the widest variety of outfits. The party is all in good fun, and you play through the night in your chosen role... Wednesday, March 28: Jelaila Starr: President Bush and the Formula of Compassion From the higher perspective, the role of a nation’s leader is that of a mirror, so to speak. He reflects back to the people the way they treat themselves, their Inner Child, and in this case, each other. In other words, he plays the role of us, the parent or adult, in our relationship with our Inner Child. So whatever we feel he has done to us is what we have done to ourselves, to our Inner Children, and to each other.... Tuesday, March 27: Sonia Choquette: The Meaning of Christmas No matter who you are, your heart cannot resist the beauty of an ornamented Christmas tree or the glow of a mysterious menorah. Cynicism gives way to the celebration when carefully preparing holiday sweets or stringing colorful lights around the entrance to your home. Any heart warms to a rousing rendition of "Joy to The World" or the sensuous smell of roasting chestnuts on a crisp winter's eve... Lee Simonson: You Already Own The Gifts You Seek By the time he was 19, Silas had saved enough money to board the train and head west to seek his fame and fortune. He set up an import business in San Francisco and was not only well received by the business community there, but achieved success in a relatively short time. Colleagues liked and trusted him. It seemed that luck was on his side, until several years later when he stood on the street and cried while he watched a fire destroy his business. Everything he had worked for had gone up in smoke... Monday, March 26: Vidya Ishaya: Why Do We Ascend? One evening as I sat in a meeting with 100 others, I felt some anxiety. I knew I wanted to share with everyone, but speaking in front of a crowd has always been stressful for me. What would people think of me as I spoke? So here’s what I said... Sunday, March 25: MSI Ishaya: Whatever You Want, You Can Have When you are aligned with the invincible forces of Natural Law, desired goals materialize extremely quickly. But if you have contradictory desire streams — desires for two opposing things at the same time — it becomes much more difficult for Nature to fulfill your desires.... Takara: Learning To Ride The Waves When the unexpected happens, you have to step into the unknown. The waves are crashing. You have no choice about that. You can get on the board and try to ride or you can give up and be pounded by the waves. Its entirely your choice. In order to ride, you have to fully feel the uncertainty and discomfort of where you are... Robert Rabbin: Are We Truly Alive? To be truly alive is to be deeply in love with and connected to this moment. Not the moment that we imagine, not the moment of our thoughts and beliefs about this moment, but this moment, as it is. This moment of suddenness and energy and surprise. This moment of wonder and awe. This moment of beauty and Silence... Saturday, March 24: Vidya Ishaya: Can Your Thoughts Affect Everyone on the Planet? Have you ever noticed how many people believe that their consciousness is theirs alone – that they are separate and cut off from others’ consciousness? ZaKaiRan: Ascension Tsunami 2005 The Tsunami has hit big time, and I am not just speaking literally. The Tsunami that has hit these countries is a physical representative of the big Tsunami that is hitting the entire planet, that is the Ascension Tsunami; the Tsunami that is propelling this planet to higher levels of divine function and awareness... |

Classics Sunday, April 1: Robert Rabbin: Nothing To Fear My friend Tim Piering recently invited me to join him for a helicopter tour of Los Angeles. Immediately, my mind filled with excuses, searching for just the right one that would allow me to graciously decline. My conscience must have been switched on that day, because I was unable to fabricate an excuse. "If you are not going to go," my conscience said, "then at least tell Tim the truth: you are terrified..." Thursday, March 29: Melanie Votaw: Living With Purpose: Finding Joy in a Suffering World Recently I was reading about how people are suffering in the Congo; how girls struggle to be educated in China; how a huge number of people in the world live without safe sanitation, and on and on and on. It seems endless! There is war, hunger, corruption, greed, and incomprehensible pain on our planet. How can I allow myself to feel anything positive when so many people are suffering? Tuesday, March 27: Neale Donald Walsch: The Little Soul and The Sun Once upon no time, there was a Little Soul who said to God, "I know who I am!" And God said, "That's wonderful! Who are you?" And the Little Soul shouted, "I'm the Light!" God smiled a big smile. "That's right!" God exclaimed. "You are the Light." The Little Soul was so happy, for it had figured out what all the souls in the Kingdom were there to figure out... Vidya Ishaya: Why Should I Go Within? (1 comments) When life isnÂ’t flowing, I know whatÂ’s needed. ItÂ’s time to let it all go, and focus on whatÂ’s really important. I go within. WhatÂ’s so significant about going inside? There are so many important things that have to be done and so little time to do them in. Why should I spend my time "going within," when thereÂ’s bills to be paid? Thursday, March 15: MSI Ishaya: An Entirely New Way of Living and Being In the collective consciousness of the human race is a new movement. It began as a tiny trickle from a hidden spring, but it is daily expanding in power and passion, becoming a mighty, expanding flood which is restoring innocence and washing away all the limitations of stress and judgment... Tuesday, March 6: Dan Joseph: The Tower Once there was a man who was dissatisfied with his life. Although he lived comfortably in a peaceful community of people, he felt that he deserved something better. One day, the man took a long walk. While walking, he stumbled upon a lovely piece of land. It was miles away from the town... Monday, February 26: Vidya Ishaya: Finding The Joy In Your Universe (1 comments) As adults, weÂ’ve been taught just how important and significant it is to hold on to our creations and never let them deteriorate. ItÂ’s great to build a house or an organization, but itÂ’s not great when it starts to change (and itÂ’s especially bad when thereÂ’s a threat of dissolution.) The more we can hold onto "exactly the way things should be," then weÂ’re sure weÂ’re safe and secure. And very happy, right? |
