Humanity is in school. The differences among us can be attributed to being in different classrooms studying different subjects from different teachers. One professor might teach in a style that is very open to suggestion and conversation, while another might have strict codes of conduct and regulation for the students.

Some students may question the lesson plan, others may be obedient. Is there a correct method to learning that is suitable for all? Probably not. The beauty of this school is that you have the free will to decide how you will accept your lessons and how you will respond or react to those lessons. That is the first Universal Truth: Absolute free will.

The second Universal Truth is that no matter what decisions you make in life regarding your conduct or any path you wish to take, God will always be with you. You are always loved by God and never abandoned. This may be difficult to believe considering some of the lessons many of us have had to endure. But remember, we have the choice in how to deal with the events that impact our lives. We can choose grace or we can choose to torture ourselves and provoke a chain of events that seem to dig a bigger hole to crawl into.

The Third Universal Truth is: No right and no wrong.

There is no such thing as sin. God is not going to punish us. This does not give anyone the right to negatively impact another person. This does not give anyone the right to inflict pain on another person or use them in any destructive manner. There are consequences for our actions; a reciprocity, a balance to all things. This is karma, and the root of the verse, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This is a very profound and powerful statement because whatever you send out, will come back to you; to help you or to hurt you.

The Fourth Universal Truth is that we are eternal. We have always existed just as God has always existed. When we leave this physical life we will continue to exist in our natural form of spirit; the more Godlike form. It is an existence that transcends time; it is a constant, as God is a constant. Destruction of a spirit is not possible as the destruction of God is not possible.

We are one with our Creator; we are one with each other as true brothers and sisters. No one has the right to constrain our free will by threats, ritual, dogmatic regulation, or any other means of control. The conditioning that we have received is beneficial in some instances and not in others. We should continue to tell our children to look both ways before crossing the street, which goes without question, but we must not make decisions for other people as far as telling them what to believe or how they are supposed to conduct themselves. This is a very judgmental society; we can't please everyone and shouldn't try to. We must look into our own heart, make the connection to our Source, and decide for ourselves which path we should follow. Our own decisions are righteous and divine.
