Do It Anyway

John of God

What Does Love Mean?

I AM HERE

Do It Anyway

(Author Unknown)
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway. Give the world the best you have and you may get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.

John of God

by Cynthia Long
I'm taking a group to Brazil to experience John of God, in June. The Casa Dom Ignacio is also called the house of St. Ignatius Loyola. Joao Teixeira, known as John of God, is a gifted and powerful medium healer. He has healed and cured thousands of people of many ailments and fatal diseases. He was recently featured on a segment on Prime Time. T.V. I describe Albadiania like a Shangri-la. My spiritual life was stimulated and deepened. I became more intuitive, even younger! I had a severe neck injury before this journey which is now 80% better. My asthma symptoms have dissipated dramatically. The Casa is built in a vortex area and situated on a bed of crystals beneath the surface. IÂ've been to many places in the world. This place is like no other. What Does Love Mean?

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think: "Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy - age 6 "Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." Danny - age 7 "Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" Emily - age 8 "Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen." Bobby - age 7 (Wow!) "If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate." Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet) "Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7 "Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." Tommy - age 6 "Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." Chris - age 7 And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked -- what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"

I AM HERE

In my heart, not so far. God, nobody can tell how close you are. In the morning, the first thing I hear thy quiet voice whispering I'm here. When I lift up my eyes to pray, You are still here, at the end of the day.
